Less than a week

Hi All, My first post on the blog site.

Well less than one week until we shove off. I have the big unit all ready except many little projects that we will do this weekend. It is getting the last major upgrade at Main St Auto right now. Tires! The expense folder is getting larger and larger but better safe than sorry. After the shake down cruise the tires that were in good shape, but have sat for a long time, developed cracks. Replace them now is better than someplace like south side of Chicago. Oh, I also installed heavy duty air bag suspension and coil over shocks, this took a lot of the sway out of the rig. This will help when I finally talk Sue into driving the unit. I have Gary Shackford of All Around RV Repair on retainer. We will load the last essentials in this weekend. I have to bolt the TV to the shelf in the bedroom. Put an extra power outlet in someplace for all the added electronics we have on board. Install a shelf for my laptop with the GPS program. Sue will be my navigator so I want all the help we can get. ( Love you Honey) I will try to get my XM radio in and going. clean it, wash it and we should be ready to go except cloths. I am very excited about the trip. We will push off next Thursday (21st) at noon. I will be picking Sue up at work and driving as far as we can that night. We plan on dry camping or "boon docking" all the way out. Wal-marts, rest areas, and truck stops. If things work out well we will be in Canyon campground, Yellowstone by the 27th. Well, gotta go I need to look for the tour books, repair manuals, and "how to RV" DVD. Wish us luck. -Bill

Hey Bill and Sue,
As a seasoned camper of many years, I envy you. This is a trip that you and the kids will remmeber forever. Memories- that is the best gift we can give these children of today.
Have a wonderful time and keep us posted.
